“step into a space that blurs the line between city and nature…”
this installation invited guests to slow down, observe, and rethink what ‘nature’ means…. not just the great big unknown ‘out there’, but here, and truly everywhere…
this event was carefully curated for folks to come and experience beautiful and fascinating art in a safe, friendly environment.
Each artist’s work(s) provided a unique element and perspective to the intentions behind the event, and the intentions behind Conserving Care altogether. Some pieces held direct correlation to nature, whilst others addressed the very important deconstructing of binaries in western society to culture systems thinking within the space. Systems thinking is crucial in the climate and biodiversity crisis (especially in this continent) to establish a strong foundation for an integrated approach towards true sustainability.
After everyone’s amazing attendance and contributions, we’ve made it to an incredible $500 donation to @firesticks.alliance. This money will make a difference in healing Country and connection to Country across the continent. This is incredibly valuable for cultural burning practices, especially as each year the threat of devastating bushfires grows, along with the many other threats the climate and biodiversity crisis brings.
